[Influencenews I Hyeseon LEE, Correspondent] Outdoor sports brand Patagonia Korea uploaded the documentary video "Lessons from Jeju."
Kimmy Warner, a world-renowned pre-diver, came to Korea to get answers from Jeju Haenyeo, who spent her life with the sea while looking for advice because there were only male divers around her.
In the video, she mentioned that she wanted to learn how Haenyeo plays the role of a mother and a dependant.
She also mentioned that her relationship with the sea would end once she becomes a mother.
A Haenyeo, diving throughout pregnancy and giving birth in water or on a boat, is a symbol of strength, resilience, and dependant. Kimmy Werner is said to have much to admire after hearing their story of being independent and strong through her job as a Haenyeo.
Meanwhile, the company Patagonia strives to protect the environment by donating 1% of its sales to environmental protection organizations under the Outdoor brand or converting old clothes into new ones.
According to Patagonia's ideology, the video titled "Lectures from Jeju" was produced.
Through the stories of Jeju Haenyeo, the video sent a message to people around the world to love and feel proud of their work.
